Congressman Fuller Votes to Keep PFAS Cleanup Money Flowing and Keep the Government Funded by Passing H.R. 9770, the Continuing Appropriations Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. Congressman Fuller voted for H.R. 9770, the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2027, which holds federal funding at current levels through December 4 and keeps water infrastructure and emerging contaminant programs running while Congress finishes work on full-year appropriations.

"My family has been in North Georgia for eight generations. I have sat in rooms in Northwest Georgia with people who are afraid of their own water," said Congressman Fuller. "This vote was not complicated. I voted to keep the cleanup money flowing into Northwest Georgia. 205 Democrats voted to shut it off and pick a shutdown fight six weeks before an election."

Federal PFAS drinking water funding runs primarily through the Environmental Protection Agency, which would lose funding for essential programs had the bill not passed.
